Even on failure, you still gain 25% of the normal XP reward. This encourages hunting dangerous creatures even with low success odds.

Boss Encounters

In regions Shadowlands and beyond, you have an 8% chance to encounter a boss creature on any hunt.

Shadowlands Boss: Dragon

Legendary threat level with 45-50% success rate. Defeating it yields massive coins and rare trophy items.

The Void Boss: Hydra

Mythical threat level with 30-35% success rate. Even rarer and more valuable than the Dragon.

Risk vs Reward

Boss encounters are dangerous but extremely rewarding. Celestial Realm may have additional bosses.

Failed Hunts

No Penalty, Partial Reward

If you fail to hunt a creature, you receive no coin reward and no item drop, but:

  • You still gain 25% of the normal XP reward
  • The cooldown still applies (25 minutes)
  • You can immediately hunt again after cooldown

Hunting Tips

Risk High-Threat Creatures

Higher threat creatures reward more coins. Even with lower success rates, the XP and potential rewards make them worth attempting.

Hunt Dangerous Regions

Shadowlands and The Void have 8% boss encounter chances. These are rare but incredibly valuable opportunities.

Plan Your Hunts

With a 25-minute cooldown, hunting is less frequent than fishing. Make each hunt count by targeting higher-threat creatures.
